Communion Records are very excited to welcome the esteemed new project of ex Dead Pretties frontman Jacob Slater to the roster, Wunderhorse.

Having kicked off his solo career via Yala! Records with the release of ‘Teal’ (which garnered attention from the likes of The Guardian, The Independent and Radio 1) Wunderhorse has now signed with Communion and further cements his reputation as a rare, raw and assured talent with new single Poppy.

While his previous discography shows Jacob is no stranger to a feral and frantic sound, ‘Poppy’ highlights a lesser seen side of Wunderhorse and has one foot in the esoterica of shoegaze and the other in spiralling, melody-rich power pop.

Outside of his responsibilities as commander in chief of Wunderhorse, Jacob has managed to find time to star in the forthcoming Sex Pistols biopic (directed by Danny Boyle) as drummer Paul Cook, alongside a star studded cast…Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams and Babyteeth’s Toby Wallace to name but a few!
