MarthaGunn announce their debut album ‘Something Good Will Happen’

Communion Records

Brighton’s MarthaGunn have announced that their debut album ‘Something Good Will Happen’ will be arriving on September 17th via Communion. A body of work the band have been building towards for the last 7 years, ‘Something Good Will Happen’ is a collection of raw and unfiltered, soul-baring love songs that capture the depth and breadth of the unbridled emotion.

Alongside the album announcement comes a brand new single - ‘Giving In’ -  and news of a headline UK tour later this year from September into October. ‘Giving In’ marks another defiant chapter for MarthaGunn, who consistently prove they are worth their weight in gold through honest and conscientious songwriting, partnered with pristine pop melodies that have caught the attention of tastemakers CLASH, Independent, Dork, The Line of Best Fit, BBC Radio 1 and John Kennedy (Radio X). ‘Giving In’ is the sound of a band ever evolving their euphoric sound, where nuanced production and kaleidoscopic samples lift them into the stratosphere.

If there’s one goal MarthaGunn aims to achieve with their music, it’s connection. Whether it’s Abi hosting her own monthly songwriting spotlight show on Soho Radio (previous guests including Another Sky, Katy J Pearson, Willie J Healey, Flyte and Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard), or setting up a virtual tour in light of having shows cancelled, her and her band want to remind people that they’re not alone and that, at end of the day, we’re all human and we all have that in common.
