Tuesday saw the release of a new Michael Kiwanuka single, ‘Beautiful Life’, the title track from the freshly released Netflix documentary, ‘Convergence: Courage In A Crisis’.

Directed by Oscar-winning Orlando von Einsiedel alongside a list of 10 co-directors from around the world, the documentary follows everyday citizens as they rise to the challenges of COVID-19 in extraordinary ways. Speaking about the track, Michael said: “In this song I wanted to focus on the feeling that there’s a real strength in the human spirit when you try to look for beauty even in difficult situations. Ultimately whatever people feel from hearing the song is ok with me, but what I was trying to emit through the music was a feeling of Defiance. A feeling of strength through adversity.”
